Prosecutors Investigate Former Namyang Dairy CEO Hong Won-sik as Witness in 20 Billion KRW Embezzlement Allegation
The prosecution, investigating allegations that former Namyang Dairy Products chairman Hong Won-sik embezzled around 20 billion KRW, is summoning the former Namyang Dairy Products executives for questioning on the 30th.

View original imageAccording to the legal community, the Fair Trade Investigation Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Yong-sik) is questioning former Namyang Dairy Products CEOs Lee Kwang-beom and Lee Won-gu as witnesses this morning.
Earlier, on the 2nd, Namyang Dairy Products publicly announced that it had filed a complaint against former chairman Hong and three former executives for embezzlement and breach of trust under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes. Hong and others are suspected of embezzling approximately 20.1223 billion KRW, equivalent to 2.97% of the company's equity capital.
