S-OIL (CEO: Anwar Al Hejazi) and the Ulsan Council on Social Welfare held a scholarship award ceremony on the 30th at the main building of the Ulsan Plant for the children of local partner company employees who are university students, as well as university students recommended by social welfare organizations.
Sixty selected scholarship recipients each received a mutual growth scholarship of 3 million KRW.
The ceremony was attended by Oh Segul, President of the Ulsan Council on Social Welfare; Kim Bochan, Ulsan Complex Head of S-OIL; Jang Seunghyuk, CEO of partner company Yuhan TU; other partner company representatives; and the 60 students selected by the scholarship committee.
Since 2022, S-OIL has operated a scholarship program for the children of partner company employees to promote mutual growth and provide practical welfare benefits. Starting last year, the program expanded to include university students recommended by social welfare organizations.
The Ulsan Council on Social Welfare formed a scholarship committee to ensure fair selection, and recipients were chosen through a rigorous screening process.
Oh Segul, President of the Ulsan Council on Social Welfare, expressed gratitude, saying, "We thank S-OIL for consistently supporting scholarship programs for the children of partner company employees and university students from vulnerable groups over the past three years. We hope S-OIL will continue to be a reliable supporter in nurturing local talent."
Kim Bochan, Ulsan Complex Head of S-OIL, stated, "As a corporate citizen, S-OIL will strengthen social contribution activities needed by the Ulsan community and spare no effort in growing together with our in-house partner companies."
S-OIL is engaged in various activities to improve the educational environment in the Ulsan community, where its business site is located, including providing school development funds, scholarships, and book donations.
