Fire Breaks Out on 14-Ton Truck on Namhae Expressway ... 48 Million Won in Property Damage
Firefighting efforts are underway on the cargo compartment of a truck that caught fire while driving on the Namhae Expressway.

At 1:07 p.m. on the 28th, a fire broke out in a 14-ton cargo truck traveling near the Seogimhae Interchange (IC) on the Namhae Expressway toward Busan in Pungyu-dong, Gimhae, South Gyeongsang Province.
Due to the fire, more than half of the truck, including the cargo bed, was destroyed, and the cargo loaded on the vehicle as well as the guardrail on the expressway were burned and damaged, resulting in property damage estimated at approximately 48 million KRW by the fire department.
No casualties were reported.
The dispatched fire authorities mobilized 51 personnel and 17 pieces of equipment and completely extinguished the fire by 2:11 p.m.
For a while, traffic congestion occurred for about 2 kilometers behind the site of the fire due to its aftermath.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
