About 20 participants, including district office employees and members of the National Public Officials Labor Union Gangseo Branch, took part in the campaign held in front of the district office main gate. The campaign was conducted for about an hour starting at 7:50 a.m., coinciding with the commute time.
On the day, a coffee truck, usually seen at events, appeared on site. This surprise event was arranged to help employees approach the concept of integrity, which can feel difficult and distant, in a friendly manner.
Mayor Jin wore a sash inscribed with the Gangseo District integrity slogan, ‘Practice integrity and honesty not by force but by Gangseo’ (Cheong-ryeom and Jeong-jik hage Gang-yo malgo Seo-ro silcheon, Cheongjeong Gangseo), and personally got on the coffee truck. Mayor Jin repeatedly called out with his unique warmth, “Have a cup of coffee~ Here’s your iced Americano, what would the next person like?” continuing casual communication with the employees. Despite the drizzling rain, a long line of employees formed in front of the coffee truck to receive coffee from the mayor.
On one side, leaflets promoting awareness of practicing integrity in daily life were also distributed. The leaflets included criteria for judging abuse of power, the upper limit on honoraria for external lectures, and the revised contents of the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, which raised the meal expense limit from 30,000 won to 50,000 won.
