Sacheon City to Promote Land Use Change and Consolidation of Public Land in 2024
Enhancing the Efficiency of National and Public Property Management and Improving the Accuracy of Basic National Statistical Data
Sacheon City in Gyeongnam Province is promoting the "2024 Public Land Category Change and Consolidation" project to enhance the efficiency of national and public property management and improve the accuracy of national statistics.
According to the city on the 27th, a plan has been established to promote category changes and consolidation of public land, targeting city-owned, provincial-owned, and state-owned properties that are currently managed separately or dispersed, and data collection has begun.
This public land category change and consolidation project will be carried out for land that has not undergone category change or consolidation after the completion of projects such as road construction or river maintenance, as well as for land with the same category and usage but divided into multiple parcels, making management difficult.
In addition, a comprehensive survey will be conducted using aerial photographs from the spatial information system to identify land that requires category change and consolidation. The city plans to organize official records through collaboration between project departments and property management departments.
In particular, by having the responsible public officials conduct direct surveys without additional budget in response to civil complaints, the city aims to reduce costs related to official record management, actual condition surveys, and various assessment fees, while also improving management efficiency and the accuracy of national statistics.
Mayor Park Dongsik stated, "Once the category change and consolidation of public land are completed, we expect to secure important statistics and basic data necessary for policy formulation," adding, "We will strive to provide a high level of land administration services."
