Hankyung Association Signs MOU on Childbirth and Childcare for 1.53 Million Small Business Owners with Seoul City and KB Financial Group

The Korea Economic Association has joined hands with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and KB Financial Group to support small business owners caught in the 'welfare blind spots' and to overcome the low birthrate crisis.

On the 26th at 2 p.m., the Korea Economic Association announced that it held a business agreement ceremony for childbirth and childcare support for 1.53 million small business owners with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and KB Financial at Seoul City Hall. The ceremony was attended by Ryu Jin, chairman of the Korea Economic Association, Oh Se-hoon, mayor of Seoul, and Yang Jong-hee, chairman of KB Financial.
The three organizations agreed to actively respond to the low birthrate issue through public-private cooperation and to strive to stabilize the management of small business owners.

Ryu Jin, chairman of the Korea Economic Association, said, "The difficulties small business owners face regarding childbirth and childcare are truly serious," adding, "We will utilize the Korea Economic Association's management advisory group to help establish a work-family balance culture and expand infrastructure at the small business owner level."
