Cheonan Arario Square to Be Developed as a Nighttime Tourism Hub
Chungnam Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency and Arario Co. Sign Agreement to Promote Night Tourism
Cheonan City signed a business agreement on the 22nd with Chungnam Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency and Arario Co., Ltd. to revitalize night tourism in Cheonan City.

On the 22nd, Cheonan City signed a business agreement with the Chungnam Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency and Arario Co., Ltd. to promote night tourism in Cheonan, and decided to foster Arario Sculpture Square as a key hub for regional night tourism.
According to the agreement, each organization plans to install landscape lighting throughout the square and present media art that harmonizes with the sculptures to vitalize night tourism at the square.
Following the wishes of Kim Changil, CEO of Arario Co., Ltd., 30 works including "Millions of Miles - A Distant Journey" by Arman Fernandez, "Hymn" by Damien Hirst, as well as pieces by Keith Haring and Kohei Nawa, have been installed at the square since 1989, allowing anyone to appreciate the artworks. With an average of 70,000 visitors per day, it is gaining attention as a representative art space of Cheonan.
The city plans to hold night events such as music performances, media facade shows, and lighting shows in the Arario Sculpture Square area from October 4 to 13, following the completion of the landscape lighting installation.
Mayor Park Sangdon said, "Based on this agreement, we will work together so that Arario Sculpture Square can showcase its artistic charm not only during the day but also at night," adding, "We expect this to bring new vitality to night tourism in Cheonan."
