Rural-Urban Win-Win Cooperation Fund Provides Additional 250 Million KRW Support for Areas Affected by Heavy Rainfall
Delivery of Instant Food, Nongchon Sarang Gift Certificates, and Other Items to Additional Special Disaster Areas
The Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Small and Medium Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries (Cooperation Foundation) announced on the 21st that it has additionally provided emergency relief supplies worth approximately 254.5 million KRW using the Rural-Urban Win-Win Cooperation Fund to eight local governments, including Okcheon-gun in Chungbuk and Iksan-si in Jeonbuk, among the 11 local governments newly declared as special disaster areas due to heavy rain damage.
This additional support involved a total of seven companies and institutions, including Jeil Feed Co., Ltd., Korea Environment Corporation, NS Shopping Co., Ltd., and Hyundai AutoEver. In particular, Jeil Feed, which supported 85 million KRW to the first heavy rain damage area, once again contributed 180 million KRW to the fund, taking the lead in delivering warmth to the local community.
The support items, coordinated with each local government, included a total of 1,325 boxes of instant food packages made from domestically produced agricultural and marine products (Geumsan-gun 43, Buyeo-gun 80, Iksan-si 1,113, Daejeon Seo-gu Giseong-dong 60, Gimcheon-si Bongsan-myeon 4, Yeongyang-gun Cheonggi-myeon 25), and rural love gift certificates worth 122 million KRW (Okcheon-gun 72 million KRW, Andong-si 50 million KRW).
Kim Young-hwan, Secretary General of the Cooperation Foundation, said, "We extend our condolences to the residents who suffered damage and difficulties due to the heavy rain and wish for a swift recovery to daily life. We also thank the companies and institutions that provided assistance."
