Hancom Partners with BGF Retail to Accelerate Digital Transformation Support
Hancom announced on the 20th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with BGF Retail to innovate in artificial intelligence (AI) and the data industry.
Through this agreement, both companies will actively collaborate to expand the use of AI in corporate operations and accelerate the pace of digital transformation (DX). Additionally, in the era of AI becoming commonplace, they plan to promote generative AI-related businesses and explore various forms of technological cooperation.
Hancom will leverage its AI products, including the AI intelligent document creation tool 'Hancom Assistant' and the AI-based Q&A solution 'Hancom Pedia,' to drive BGF Retail's DX initiatives. They will jointly verify and enhance the functions and performance. Moving forward, Hancom will design and provide customized AI solutions for BGF Retail, which will use them to improve data management and analysis efficiency, thereby optimizing business processes.
Park Jun-yong, Head of BGF Information Systems Division, stated, "We will continue to internalize digital capabilities and discover AI technologies that encompass BGF Retail’s employees and both online and offline operations to create an innovative work environment."
Jin Sung-sik, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of Hancom, said, "Our collaboration with BGF Retail will be a valuable opportunity to verify and advance Hancom’s AI technology in real corporate work environments. Meanwhile, Hancom has been strengthening its technological capabilities this year and sequentially launching various AI solutions. In April, it released 'Hancom Data Loader,' a solution optimized for extracting training data for AI, and last month unveiled its integrated AI brand 'Hancom BRAIN' along with beta versions of 'Hancom Docs AI' and 'Hancom Assistant.' The company is expanding its AI solution portfolio beyond document solutions to include business intelligence (BI), data visualization, biometric authentication, and more.
