Yeongju City held a kick-off meeting for the "Yeongju Dam Aquatic Ecological Garden Basic Plan and Feasibility Study Service" at 3 p.m. on the 19th in the Civil Petition Office at City Hall.
The meeting was attended by Park Namseo, Mayor of Yeongju, the Director of the Economic and Industrial Bureau, the Director of the Urban Construction Bureau, and about 10 other city officials. The event proceeded with a briefing by the service provider followed by a Q&A session.
Yeongju City is holding a kickoff briefing for the basic plan service to promote the creation of the Yeongju Dam Aquatic Ecological Garden.
View original imageThe city aims to establish a systematic guideline for the national garden, including: ▲ reviewing the feasibility of promoting the Yeongju Dam Aquatic Ecological Garden project ▲ planning themed gardens and other necessary facilities that meet the requirements of at least five types of gardens ▲ developing a positioning strategy for the garden site ▲ presenting a future vision and goals for the garden's creation.
The Yeongju Dam Aquatic Ecological Garden Project is part of the Yeongju Dam tourism resource development initiative. It plans to create ecological wetlands and eco-friendly trails on approximately 1.13 million square meters in the areas of Seokpo-ri and Naerim-ri, Isan-myeon, aiming to establish a new tourism hub for Yeongju City through sustainable development of Yeongju Dam for future generations.
Mayor Park Namseo stated, "We aim to utilize our city's natural environment to create a distinctive garden that will represent Korea," adding, "Through this, we will do our best to enhance Yeongju's tourism competitiveness and provide citizens with high-quality spaces for relaxation."
