The district currently operates 14 fixed CCTVs, 65 mobile CCTVs, and 38 logo projectors in vulnerable areas where habitual illegal dumping occurs, working to prevent and crack down on unauthorized waste disposal. This year, a full inspection of 117 unauthorized dumping prevention systems will be conducted, and 20 mobile CCTVs and 2 fixed CCTVs, whose efficiency has declined due to system damage, will be replaced.
The replacement locations include one site each in Mok 1-dong and Mok 4-dong, two sites each in Mok 2-dong, Sinwol 1, 3, 5, and 7-dong, and Sinjeong 4-dong, three sites in Sinwol 2-dong, and four sites in Mok 3-dong, totaling 22 locations. These were selected focusing on areas vulnerable to illegal dumping, actively reflecting residents' needs.
The replaced CCTVs (20 mobile units and 2 fixed units) can monitor without blind spots 24 hours a day through real-time filming and sensor-detected automatic recording functions. The old solar panels, vulnerable to strong winds and heavy rain, have been replaced with new models one-third the size to enhance safety.
Unlike fixed cameras, mobile CCTVs can be relocated easily without additional installation costs, offering the advantage of flexible placement, and they automatically broadcast warnings when illegal dumping is detected.
