Foreigners looking for a home in Ulsan can easily access interpretation services.
The Ulsan city government announced on the 4th that it will strengthen real estate transaction language support services for foreign residents.
Until August 30, the city will recruit an additional 10 global real estate agencies offering services in four languages: English, Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese.
Eligible applicants are licensed real estate agents who have been operating in Ulsan for at least one year and have not been subject to any disciplinary action under the Certified Real Estate Agents Act in the past two years.
Global real estate agencies will be designated through document screening and language-specific interviews. Designated agencies will receive a certificate and an official signboard.
Applications can be submitted in person or by mail to the Land Information Division at Ulsan City Hall or the Land Information Division (Civil Affairs and Cadastral Division) at each district or county office.
Starting in October, Ulsan will also offer real estate transaction language support in 17 foreign languages, including Vietnamese, Sinhalese, Indonesian, and Filipino, in cooperation with the Ulsan Foreign Residents Support Center.
Currently, Ulsan has designated and operates 30 global real estate agencies that provide services in English, Chinese, and Japanese. However, to address communication difficulties in unsupported languages, the city is expanding its services.
An official from Ulsan city stated, "We plan to further improve the settlement conditions for foreigners so that they do not face difficulties from the very first step of 'finding a home' when living in Ulsan."
