A man in his 40s was arrested by the police for illegally filming women at a beach in Seogwipo City, Jeju.
On the 1st, the Seogwipo Police Station announced that they have booked and are investigating a man in his 40s, identified as A, on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (filming using a camera, etc.). Earlier, A was caught illegally filming female beachgoers using his mobile phone around 4 p.m. on the 16th of last month at Jungmun Saekdal Beach in Seogwipo City.
A was caught in the act by police who responded to a report stating, "There is a person taking photos of women's bodies at the beach." It was confirmed that A's mobile phone contained photos and videos of the beachgoers.
