The 'Hub-type Neulbom Summer School' aims to expand educational opportunities for students in the western Busan area and to operate high-quality Neulbom School programs without interruption during the vacation through various learning-type Neulbom activities.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education is operating the 'Hub-type Neulbom Summer School' at eight schools, including Songdo Elementary, Nambumin Elementary, Ami Elementary, Toseong Elementary, Myungwon Elementary, Nokmyung Elementary, Myungmun Elementary, and Myungho Elementary, with Songdo Elementary and Myungwon Elementary designated as hub schools.

In the afternoon, fee-based learning-type Neulbom programs such as 'Cooking Class,' 'Play English,' 'Robot Science,' and 'Basketball' are also offered for two hours.
The Office of Education provides free lunch and snacks to participating students and operates school buses to ensure safe transportation. In addition, to address care gaps for dual-income families, students who wish to stay will be supervised until 8 p.m.
On the first day of the Hub-type Neulbom Summer School, Superintendent Ha Yoonsoo plans to visit Songdo Elementary and Myungwon Elementary to inspect the overall operation, including the learning-type Neulbom programs and lunch services.
Ha Yoonsoo, Superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "Operating the Hub-type Neulbom Summer School that reflects local characteristics will greatly help provide high-quality Neulbom services and improve satisfaction among students and parents," adding, "The Office of Education will do its best to operate Neulbom Schools where parents can safely entrust their children not only during vacations but also throughout the school year."
