Yongin City to Digitize 'Official Seal Stamping' Starting August
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 30th that it will implement a system that fully digitizes the official seal stamping procedure and history management starting in August.
Until now, city officials had to visit the responsible department in person to stamp documents with the official seal and manually record the purpose and date of stamping in a ledger. However, the new system allows officials to stamp the seal without visiting the department and automatically manages the usage history on a computer.
The city expects that digitizing the system will prevent misuse, reduce employees' travel time, and improve work efficiency. After operating the new system at the city hall, the city plans to expand it to each district office and town, township, and neighborhood offices.
