Yongin City to Conduct Inspection on Secretariat Operations of Sports Council and Disabled Sports Council
Inspection of Task Processing and Appropriateness of Subsidy Execution
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 29th that it will conduct an inspection of the overall operation of the city’s Sports Council and the Disabled Sports Council secretariats from the 5th to the 16th of next month.
This inspection is a regular audit to examine whether the two organizations are being operated efficiently and transparently. According to the National Sports Promotion Act and the Yongin City Sports Promotion Ordinance, the city has the authority to supervise local sports councils and may order reports on their work or conduct inspections.
During this inspection, the city will investigate whether the two organizations have handled tasks unreasonably or wasted budgets while carrying out city-subsidized projects, and will also check for any cases of subsidy execution violating laws and regulations. The inspection will also verify whether local subsidy projects are being conducted lawfully.
