Jung Yura Criticizes Cho Kuk for Boasting About Seafood Hot Pot Rice While Condemning Fukushima: "I Genuinely Respect How Thick-Skinned You Are"
Jung Yura Criticizes Cho Kuk's "Double Standards" Over Fukushima Seafood
Questions His Memory and Integrity in Social Media Post
Jung Yura, the daughter of Choi Seo-won (formerly Choi Soon-sil), who is currently imprisoned for her involvement in the 'state affairs manipulation' scandal, criticized Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, after he posted a photo of seafood hot pot rice despite having previously criticized the handling of contaminated water in Fukushima. She commented, "I genuinely respect how thick-skinned you are," expressing her disapproval.
On the 27th, Jung wrote on social media, "At this point, it just seems like he's trying to provoke people," and added, "I genuinely respect how thick-skinned you are. It seems there really is Fukushima nuclear wastewater. Maybe his brain is malfunctioning and he can't remember what he said himself." She also mocked, "Even if you combine the intelligence of all the supporters leaving comments, it would still be less than that of the fish at the COEX Aquarium."
She continued, "He learned that you should boast about eating hot pot rice, but he never learned that you shouldn't take exams on behalf of your son or that you should stand by your own words. Truly an impressive 'Chostrada-mus'." The nickname 'Chostrada-mus' is a play on the famous prophet Nostradamus, attaching Cho's surname to imply that his own predictions and statements come back to apply to himself.
That day, Cho posted a photo on social media of hot pot rice topped with abalone, salmon roe, and other seafood, writing, "I was taught that if you eat this kind of hot pot rice, you should show it off." The previous day, on the morning of the 26th, he had attended the 4th Supreme Council meeting of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party and criticized Lee Jin-sook, candidate for Chairperson of the Korea Communications Commission, for referring to Fukushima nuclear wastewater as "treated water," likening it to the idiom "calling a deer a horse" (Jirongwima).
Jung appears to be pointing out Cho's inconsistency in criticizing the Fukushima discharge while boasting about eating seafood.

Recently, Jung has revealed her financial difficulties by sharing her bank account and asking for support from her followers. She posted a photo of herself coughing up blood and wrote, "I have to do my best for my mother's August 15 pardon. I don't have time to waste, I need to pull myself together and get out of here as soon as possible." She continued, "My hemoglobin levels have plummeted, the bleeding hasn't stopped, and after refusing a transfusion, I eventually had to get one. I insisted I could manage without a caregiver, but after falling in the bathroom, I had no choice but to hire one." She added, "For five years, I saved money in case I was struck by a serious illness, but the day before my surgery, I deposited it into my account and it was seized on the day of the operation. I paid a lot for robotic surgery to recover for my mother's sake, but now I can't afford to pay the surgery fees."
