Hanseo University Wins HERO Award at 'Local National Land March Competition'
Hanseo University won the Local HERO Award (Korea Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation) at the 'Local National Land March HERO Making' competition organized and hosted by the Ministry of Education, the National Research Foundation of Korea, Siheung City, the Korea Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation, Korea Polytechnic University, and the Startup Education Innovation Leading University Project Council.
The Local National Land March is a region-university linked program that conducts special lectures on local companies and market exploration activities based on regional values to discover startup items rooted in local value. From the boot camp held at Korea Polytechnic University on the 27th-28th of last month, the program visited Daejeon, Gunsan, Gwangju, and Mokpo from the 9th to the 13th of this month.
Team 8, consisting of six Hanseo University students (team leader Choi Eunju, Kwon Siwoo, Yoon Siyoung, Lee Geon, Yoo Kyungmin, Lee Gayun), presented an item aimed at revitalizing the tourism industry in Seosan by installing a digital media art exhibition hall called 'Haeseong' within Haemieupseong Fortress, with the purpose of promoting history education and tourism activation, and received the Local HERO Award (Korea Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation).

Professor Kim Gitae, head of the Employment and Startup Support Center, stated, "Through this Local National Land March, students felt the necessity of startup companies based on regional values and gained valuable experience learning the potential of local companies through special lectures by region.
