Pukyong National University to Strengthen Korean Language Education Support in Nagasaki, Japan
Agreement Signed with Nagasaki Prefectural Board of Education on Educational Exchange
National Pukyong University (President Jang Youngsoo) and the Nagasaki Prefectural Board of Education in Japan (Superintendent Maegawa Kensuke) held a signing ceremony for an educational exchange agreement at the president's office of National Pukyong University in the afternoon of the 24th.
Since first signing an agreement on educational exchange in 2005, the two institutions renewed the agreement on this day and agreed to continue cooperating in areas such as recommending Korean language instructors and recommending scholarship students for Korean language training programs.

View original imageNational Pukyong University has cooperated with Nagasaki Prefecture’s Tsushima High School in their Korea visit program held during summer vacations and has also accepted scholarship students recommended by Nagasaki Prefecture for Korean language training programs.
It is known that up to now, 20 students who graduated from Tsushima High School in Nagasaki Prefecture have enrolled at National Pukyong University.
In addition, National Pukyong University has recommended and dispatched six Korean language instructors to Tsushima High School so far, while Nagasaki Prefecture has sent four Japanese teachers to National Pukyong University as part of their Korean language teacher training project.
As of April, National Pukyong University has 1,678 international students from 71 countries, including 130 Japanese students, enrolled in undergraduate, master's, doctoral, integrated master's and doctoral programs, exchange student programs, and language training courses.
