The Chungnam Provincial Government announced on the 25th that the Taean International Horticultural Healing Expo was finally approved as a government-supported international event at the recent International Event Review Committee meeting of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The province is currently promoting the Taean International Horticultural Healing Expo as a pledged project of the 8th popularly elected administration. Following the Anmyeondo International Flower Expo, preparations have been underway since last year to also host the Taean International Horticultural Healing Expo as an international event.
After a review by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the expo was selected in April as a candidate for the Ministry of Economy and Finance's international event policy evaluation. Its feasibility was recognized through an on-site inspection and policy analysis by the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy.
Accordingly, 4.42 billion KRW in national funding will be provided.
The expo, under the theme "A Healthy Future of Horticulture & Healing Found in Nature," is scheduled to be held from April 25 to May 24, 2026, in the Anmyeondo area.
Lee Deokmin, Director of the Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Bureau, said, "Taean-gun will emerge as a global hub for the horticultural healing industry through the Taean International Horticultural Healing Expo," adding, "We will thoroughly prepare together with Taean-gun to successfully host the expo."
