Atopy and Asthma Education Information Center to Open in Northern Gyeonggi in October
Gyeonggi Province will operate the ‘Gyeonggi Northern Atopy and Asthma Education Information Center’ starting this October.
On the 24th, Gyeonggi Province announced that the Atopy and Asthma Education Information Center, which receives half of its operating expenses from national funds (the rest from provincial funds), is currently established in 10 locations nationwide including Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, and the 11th center will be newly established in the northern region of Gyeonggi Province. The specific location of the center and the selection process for the operating institution have not yet been decided.
The Education Information Center will play roles such as ▲ atopy and asthma safe school education ▲ supporting allergy disease prevention and management education for healthcare professionals and local residents ▲ production and distribution of educational and promotional materials ▲ providing counseling services and accurate disease information.
It will be responsible for allergy disease prevention and management in the northern region and will cooperate with public health centers to promote various projects.
Kwon Jeong-hyun, Director of the Health Promotion Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "The selection of this Atopy and Asthma Education Information Center is expected to greatly help residents in the northern region of Gyeonggi Province in preventing allergy diseases," and added, "We will continue to promote various projects to provide health opportunities to everyone without regional restrictions."

Currently, Gyeonggi Province supports educational programs and supplies to educational institutions (such as daycare centers and elementary, middle, and high schools) through the Gyeonggi Atopy and Asthma Education Information Center located in Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, so that students with allergic diseases can live safely.
