The area around 392-9 Suyu-dong, located to the right in the direction from Hwaje Station to Gaori Station on the Ui-Sinseol Light Rail Line, covers a total area of 86,362㎡. The site contains densely packed old single-family and multi-family houses with poor infrastructure, and it is a region with a high rate of resident consent for project implementation.
The district plans to support the smooth progress of the project by establishing management plans and designating management areas for the site in accordance with relevant procedures.
Following the previously selected Beon-dong 1, 2, and 3 areas and Suyu-dong 1 area, the selection of the 392-9 Suyu-dong area as a Moa Town site means that Gangbuk-gu will be promoting projects in a total of five areas (totaling 365,102㎡).
Moa Town is a district-level redevelopment method that systematically renovates old low-rise residential areas under 100,000㎡, which are difficult to redevelop on a large scale, by grouping them together and expanding convenience facilities such as underground parking lots.
