The mobile-only university student smart campus platform promoted by BNK Financial Group integrates functions such as mobile student ID, electronic attendance, academic administration, library use, and community features into a single app. BNK System, an affiliate, is in charge of the platform's development, and it will be linked with universities in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions through Busan Bank and Gyeongnam Bank.
With the establishment of this platform, universities will be relieved of the burden of system development and maintenance, resulting in reduced workload and budget savings. In addition, the use of a unified app is expected to improve students' digital learning environment.
Furthermore, the platform will provide university students in the region with BNK’s unique, regionally-linked content such as "Gourmet Busan" and "Life." Busan Bank plans to begin electronic attendance at Daedong University in the second semester of this year and complete the phased implementation by the end of the year.
In addition, both institutions will work together to help the Dongbaekjeon Citizen Platform, a key initiative of Busan City, become the region’s leading platform for citizen happiness. In particular, Daedong University faculty and students will use the Busan Bank Dongbaekjeon Card, and Busan Bank will provide convenience for account opening and card issuance.
Bang Seongbin, President of Busan Bank, said, "It is very meaningful to build Busan Bank’s first smart campus platform together with Daedong University, which has a long tradition and history. We will continue to discover projects that promote mutual growth between local universities and the local economy, thereby strengthening our corporate social responsibility."
