Operation of Counseling Center 'Mihonmoeui Jip Mulpure'
Foundation for Safe Childbirth and Child Protection for Pregnant Women in Crisis
Ulsan City will support 'at-risk pregnant women' who face difficulties due to childbirth, such as single mothers, to ensure a safe delivery.
Ulsan City announced that it has designated 'Mihonmo-ui Jip Mulpure' as the regional counseling center for at-risk pregnant women and will begin its operation from the 19th to establish a foundation for the safe delivery of at-risk pregnant women and child protection.
This measure is in response to the enforcement of the Special Act on Support for At-risk Pregnancy and Protected Childbirth and Child Protection, which takes effect from the 19th.
Mihonmo-ui Jip Mulpure provides counseling and services for at-risk pregnant women who are experiencing difficulties due to pregnancy and childbirth, supporting them in raising their children within their original families. In cases where protected childbirth is unavoidable, the center also assists women in undergoing prenatal checkups and delivery under an alias at medical institutions.
At-risk pregnant women can receive confidential counseling 24 hours a day by calling the counseling hotline 1308.
Ulsan City stated, "We have prepared to ensure the smooth implementation of the support and protected childbirth system for at-risk pregnant women without trial and error," and added, "We will do our best to support at-risk pregnant women in receiving counseling and raising their children at the regional counseling center, and to ensure the safe protection of children born through protected childbirth."
