Violation of Party Constitution and Rules in Broadcast Debate
The People Power Party's Election Commission has finalized sanctions including a 'warning and corrective order' against party leader candidates Won Hee-ryong and Han Dong-hoon for violating the party constitution and regulations during the second broadcast debate.
On the 14th, the People Power Party Election Commission announced that it held a non-face-to-face meeting the previous day, reconfirmed the sanctions against the two candidates, and posted the announcement on the party's website.
Previously, on the 11th, the Election Commission resolved to issue warnings and corrective orders to the two candidates and notified them in writing of the sanctions the following day. Both candidates filed objections to the Election Commission, but these were not accepted.

The violations cited by the Election Commission as grounds for sanctioning the two candidates were Article 5, Paragraph 1 of the party regulations, which stipulates the obligation of candidates to compete fairly, and Article 39, Clause 7, which prohibits defamation, black propaganda, personal attacks, and acts that incite regionalism.
