Daejeon City to Provide Up to 300,000 Won in Rent Support for Small Business Owners
For Those with Annual Sales Under 30 Million Won... Applications Accepted from the 15th to August 16th
The city of Daejeon announced that it will provide rent support of up to 300,000 won to small business owners in financial difficulty due to high inflation and sluggish domestic demand.
The support is available to small business owners with annual sales of 30 million won or less, who have been operating a business in a leased location in Daejeon for at least six months as of the announcement date. The city will provide a lump-sum payment covering up to 100,000 won per month for three months of rent.
Applications can be submitted online through the Daejeon Job and Economy Promotion Agency website from the 15th until August 16. After screening applicants for eligibility, the support will be provided in order of lowest annual sales.
For those who have difficulty applying online, assistance will be available at the Daejeon Job and Economy Promotion Agency in person.
Kwon Kyungmin, Director of Economic Affairs for Daejeon, said, "We hope this rent support will help ease the business expenses of local small business owners and contribute to stabilizing their operations, even if only a little."
