'Late Lee Seon-gyun Threat' Entertainment Venue Female Manager... 2 Years Imprisonment Requested for Drug Charges
The prosecution has requested a prison sentence in connection with the drug use charges against a nightclub manager who threatened the late actor Lee Seon-gyun.
According to the legal community on the 11th, the prosecution requested a two-year prison sentence for A (30, female), who was indicted on charges of stimulant and marijuana use under the Narcotics Control Act, at the sentencing hearing held on the 9th at the Incheon District Court Criminal Division 14 (Presiding Judge Son Seung-beom).
The prosecution explained the reason for the sentence request, stating, "We considered the fact that she has a prior record of similar crimes." The court has not yet scheduled A's sentencing hearing and plans to set a date later.
A, who has six prior convictions including drug offenses, was arrested and indicted for allegedly using methamphetamine or marijuana three times between March and August last year. Earlier, A's defense attorney admitted all charges in court.
The trial is being conducted jointly with the case of B (43, male), a practicing plastic surgeon who was indicted for supplying drugs to A and personally smoking marijuana, but B's sentencing hearing has not yet been held.

During the investigation, A testified that "B, whom she was close to, gave her methamphetamine as a birthday present." Separately, A was additionally indicted last September on charges of extorting 300 million won from actor Lee by threatening him and is currently on trial.
A is accused of calling Lee at that time and saying, "My phone has been hacked and I am being threatened, so I need money to keep quiet," and extorting 300 million won. Police investigations revealed that the hacker who threatened A was C, a close acquaintance living in the same apartment complex.

Upon learning that A had used methamphetamine and that she was close to Lee, C impersonated the hacker using an illegal SIM chip to commit the crime. However, when he failed to extort money from A, he directly threatened Lee and ultimately extorted 50 million won from him, according to the investigation.
