Korea Exchange Sponsors Samgyetang for Vulnerable Elderly in Busan on Chobok
The Korea Exchange announced on the 10th that its executives and employees conducted a volunteer activity the day before at Yongho Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Nam-gu, Busan, providing nutritional special meals and happiness-sharing packages to 250 vulnerable individuals, including elderly people living alone, in celebration of Chobok.
Jung Eun-bo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange, is volunteering to serve meals to vulnerable groups in the Busan area for the first hot day of summer.

Through this activity, they served ginseng abalone samgyetang directly to help the elderly recover their energy from the heat, and delivered snack packages for Chobok containing assorted rice cakes and misutgaru (a traditional Korean grain powder drink).
Additionally, they donated a projector and a portable TV to the welfare center’s program room to be used for audiovisual education and leisure activities for the elderly.
The Exchange has been conducting various elderly welfare projects every year at social welfare centers in Busan and Seoul, including supporting healthy food for vulnerable elderly and improving the living environments of elderly people living alone.

Jung Eun-bo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange, said, "I hope that the elderly vulnerable to the heatwave will replenish their energy with nutritious food and have a healthy and safe summer," adding, "We will continue our steady interest and support so that the elderly in the local community can enjoy a more vibrant life."
