Seoul Police to Intensify Crackdown on Reckless and Dangerous Driving Until the End of August
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 9th that it will conduct an intensive crackdown on illegal activities such as reckless driving and street racing throughout Seoul for two months until the end of next month.
First, the police will strengthen patrol and preventive activities at locations where street racers are expected to appear, as well as their movement and gathering spots, by collecting various prior intelligence and analyzing reported cases related to street racing. In addition, for reckless driving and street racing, all available personnel from the Urban Expressway, Traffic Patrol, Traffic Field Officers, and Traffic Crime Investigation Teams will be mobilized for strict enforcement. If on-site apprehension is difficult, thorough evidence collection and subsequent investigations will be conducted to ensure arrests and criminal prosecution.

In particular, the police plan to respond strongly by conducting joint crackdowns led by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency every week and occasional independent crackdowns (by Gangnam Police Station) on illegal activities involving supercars around Dosan-daero in Gangnam-gu during the intensive crackdown period.
