Nexen Tire Recognized in Top 3% for ESG by Overseas Evaluation Agencies
Nexen Tire announced on the 8th that it received a Gold rating from EcoVadis, a global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) evaluation agency. EcoVadis is a prestigious ESG rating organization with participation from over 130,000 companies across 180 countries. It assesses companies based on environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, and assigns ratings accordingly. Leading global tire companies such as Michelin, Bridgestone, and Continental also undergo evaluations by this agency.

Previously, the company received a Bronze rating in 2021. It earned Silver ratings in 2022 and 2023, and this year it was elevated to Gold. The Gold rating is awarded to only the top 5%, and Nexen Tire stated that it ranked within the top 3%. Since 2020, the company has published annual reports detailing its ESG management performance. The latest report was recently released, marking the first publication since the establishment of the ESG Management Committee under the board of directors this year.
