"AI Humans Improve Quality of Life for Elderly"... Report Proves Effectiveness
Research on Senior Centers Introducing Eastsoft AI Humans
ESTsoft announced on the 8th that research results proving the effect of its AI Human Senior Care service on improving the quality of life for the elderly have been published.
The paper is titled "Exploring the Acceptance Process of Elderly Participants in AI Human Senior Care Health Content." It was published in Volume 63, Issue 3 of the Korean Journal of Physical Education, an excellent journal indexed in the Korea Citation Index (KCI).
This study was conducted by Yonsei University's Lifelong Sports Research Lab using ESTsoft's AI Human Senior Care service. In January of this year, in collaboration with ESTsoft and Gimhae City, in-depth interviews were conducted with 40 participants at 10 smart senior centers that opened using AI Human technology.
The research results showed that the participants gave positive evaluations regarding the service's convenience, accessibility, and variety. Most participants perceived the AI Human as an actual person and, even after learning it was a virtual human, responded with fascination without any sense of rejection.
During the acceptance phase of the AI Human service, participants experienced physical, psychological, and social satisfaction. Specifically, they experienced improvements in physical condition and exercise ability through various exercise contents created by the AI Human, such as "hand and foot massage" and "upper and lower body stretching." Through group programs like "singing classes," participants enjoyed stress relief and leisure activities with other members, which helped alleviate social isolation and foster a sense of belonging. It was also confirmed that these positive experiences led to recommendation activities, where participants wanted to share them with other members and people from different regions.
