What’s the Story Behind the Seoul A District Office HR Team Leader’s Promotion Omission and Vacation Complaint?
It has come to attention that the head of the HR team, B, at District A Office in Seoul expressed dissatisfaction over being passed over for promotion and took a long-term leave of absence.
Team Leader B, who took charge of the HR team during the 8th local government administration, believed they had made considerable efforts, but was not promoted in rank. Despite nearly 10 people being promoted to grade 5 this time, B was not promoted and reportedly took a two-week long-term leave of absence.
Moreover, along with dissatisfaction over being passed over for promotion, Team Leader B raised concerns on the labor union bulletin board about the appointment of a grade 6 practical officer as team leader, stating that “appointing an employee who returned from leave less than a month ago as team leader is problematic in terms of fairness.” It is known that many employees posted protest messages, indicating multiple issues combined led to this decision.
In particular, it is understood that Team Leader B still has about three years left until retirement and has become dissatisfied amid various concerns.
