View original imageAccording to Gyeongju City on the 2nd, a leading domestic automobile manufacturer has been conducting training for new and experienced employees at Hwangridan-gil since 2022. It is reported that the company planned this unique training to overcome the limitations of group education and to increase participation and enjoyment among new employees.
Last year alone, the company sent about 2,000 employees to Hwangridan-gil over 17 sessions.
This means that between 80 and 100 employees visited Hwangridan-gil every three weeks.
During the training period, groups of 8 to 10 people were formed, and they completed various missions throughout Hwangridan-gil over half a day as part of this unique training. The response from new employees who participated in the program was reportedly very enthusiastic.
This unique training program has also had a positive impact on the local economy.
To support employee training, the company signed agreements with four restaurants, three cafes, two Sipwonppang bakeries, and one snack bar in Hwangridan-gil, boosting sales for small business owners.

A Daegu-based auto parts company has been conducting new employee training in Gyeongju since last year and includes a team-building program at Hwangridan-gil. In addition, Dongguk University WISE Campus has been holding faculty and staff meetings at local venues such as Hyangmil, Byeolchaeban, and Gyotongsambap in Hwangridan-gil, fostering a new organizational culture that breaks away from traditional meeting formats.
Joo Nakyoung, Mayor of Gyeongju, said, "Gyeongju Hwangridan-gil has established itself not just as a consumer space filled with restaurants and coffee shops, but as a place that creates new trends," and emphasized, "Going forward, Gyeongju City will focus its administrative efforts so that Hwangridan-gil can become Korea's representative multi-cultural space."
