Gurye New Vitality Network Future Forum, Launch
Purpose of Preparing for Community Future Planning
The 'Gurye New Vitality Network Future Forum,' based on the Jeonnam Gurye-gun New Vitality Plus Promotion Team (Director Jo Nam-hoon, former professor at Suncheon National University), has been launched.
On the 19th, 53 residents of Gurye-gun gathered at the Chamsaemigol Activation Center in Gwangui-myeon, Gurye-gun, for the inaugural general meeting with the purpose of "designing and preparing a vibrant future for the local community."
The members of this group are Gurye-gun residents, and anyone from the county can participate regardless of gender or age. The founding members are mainly residents involved in the New Vitality Plus Promotion Team.
The participants elected eight operating delegates, and all decision-making will be carried out through a consultative body of the operating delegates.
Jo Nam-hoon, director of the Gurye-gun New Vitality Plus Promotion Team, stated in his greeting, "We proposed the establishment of the forum to create a foundation for shifting from government-led projects to demand-centered, that is, private-led project promotion," and promised active support for its operation.
Choi Doo-sik, central review committee member of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' Rural Convergence Complex Industry, said in his keynote speech, "To respond efficiently to rapidly changing domestic and international situations and national policies, sharing knowledge and information among members and mutual cooperation through solidarity must be the top priority." He also explained projects such as the Agricultural Industry Innovation Belt Creation Project, 2024 Rural Resource Complex Industrialization, City/County Specialized Support Projects, and Youth Farmer Development Support Projects.
Following this, Kim Young-soon (male, 44), CEO of the Naju 'Areumdapgeurinbae' Farming Association Corporation, shared success stories for the growth of small and medium enterprises and methods for attracting customers.
This group decided to hold regular meetings on the third Wednesday of every month.
