Ansan Hospital Ranks in Top 10% Nationwide for General, Liver Cancer, and Breast Cancer Screenings
Ansan Hospital of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service (Director: Lim Hoyoung) was selected as the top institution nationwide in the 4th cycle (2021-2023) evaluation of national health screening institutions, organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, on the 10th.
The evaluation of national health screening institutions is conducted by the Minister of Health and Welfare under the Health Screening Basic Act to improve the quality of national health screenings. The evaluation assesses whether institutions appropriately perform national health screening tasks, including staffing, facilities and equipment, and overall quality management status.
In the final evaluation, Ansan Hospital of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service received excellent grades in most screening categories. For general health screenings, liver cancer screenings, and breast cancer screenings, the hospital received excellent or higher grades in all detailed evaluation areas, including diagnostic tests and radiology. Its final score ranked within the top 10% nationwide, qualifying it as a top institution.
It is known to be rare for an institution to receive the highest grade in all three categories among those selected as top institutions.
