Osan City "We Also Support Academy Tuition Fees for Unemployed Youth"
Support Scope Includes Tuition Fees as well as Language and Certification Exam Application Fees
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 20th that it will support academy tuition fees to alleviate the economic burden of unemployed youth in the area and expand employment opportunities.
This follows the revision of the "Ordinance on Promoting Youth Job Creation in Osan City." The city explained that with this ordinance revision, support for unemployed youth, which was previously limited to language and qualification exam fees, has been expanded to include academy tuition fees.
The support targets unemployed youth aged 19 to 39 residing in Osan City, providing up to 300,000 KRW in total for language and qualification exam fees and academy tuition fees combined. Applications for tuition fee support can be made starting from the 1st of next month, and tuition fees incurred after January 1 of this year are eligible for support.
Tuition fee support applications can be submitted through the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's integrated application system, "Jobaba Apply," just like the existing exam fee applications. The support funds will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis after verification procedures until the budget is exhausted. For detailed support information, inquiries can be made to the Youth Policy Team of the Osan City Regional Economy Division.
