Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin, announced on the 20th that within three years of starting Baemin Photo Studio, they have photographed 995 food menus from 160 small restaurants together with professional photographers. Baemin Photo Studio is a project planned to strengthen menu competitiveness and improve management efficiency for restaurant owners. It aims to support restaurant owners who feel burdened by the cost and equipment of photography, helping to improve the store's image.
Since its launch in 2022, Baemin Photo Studio has been conducted nationwide, with professional photographers and food stylists visiting stores in Seoul, Busan, Gangwon, Jeju, and other regions. According to Baemin, after improving the menu photos of 30 stores this year, the number of delivery orders through the Baemin app increased by an average of 15% compared to the previous month, and clicks increased by an average of 54 times.
Restaurant owners who experienced Baemin Photo Studio showed high satisfaction. 'Nunkkot Tteok Song-i,' a snack bar located in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, reported that after experiencing Baemin Photo Studio, their menu orders increased by 55%, and order amounts rose by up to 71%. Park Suhong, the owner of Nunkkot Tteok Song-i, explained, "Originally, customers tended to order only shaved ice or only snacks, but after seeing the new photos, more customers started ordering sets."
Positive reactions were also seen toward the frames and posters provided after the photo shoots. A restaurant owner running a soy sauce shrimp rice shop in Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk, said, "I envied the menu and promotional photos displayed in franchise stores, but the cost was a burden," adding, "I feel reassured to receive support through such a project."
