Changwon Special Mayor Hong Nam-pyo Attends Hyundai WIA Safety Education Center S+ Completion Ceremony
On the morning of the 19th, Nam-pyo Hong, Mayor of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, attended the completion ceremony of Hyundai Wia Co., Ltd.'s experiential safety training center, S+, a leading mobility company in Changwon, and delivered a congratulatory speech.

View original imageApproximately 100 people attended the ceremony, including Jae-wook Chung, CEO of Hyundai Wia, Wansoo Park, Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do, Sung-moo Heo, National Assembly member for Seongsan-gu, Jong-muk Kim, Commander of the 39th Division, Young-bong Yang, Head of Changwon Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Heung-do Gong, Director of Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and officials from Hyundai Motor Group.
The ceremony proceeded in the following order: introduction of the safety training center, congratulatory speeches, commemorative tree planting and ribbon cutting, and a tour of the safety training center facilities.
The Hyundai Wia Safety Training Center was established to create a mutually beneficial safety ecosystem by providing safety education to partner companies, external construction firms, external organizations, and the private sector.

View original imageThe center was created by utilizing a building formerly used as the company cafeteria at headquarters, and is a two-story facility covering an area of 756 square meters. It consists of the following zones: Orientation Zone, Work Safety Zone, Virtual Safety Zone, Disaster Safety Zone, and Health Safety Zone.
Mayor Hong stated, "With the expanded enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act in January this year, the public's interest and expectations regarding safety have increased. The establishment of the Hyundai Wia Safety Training Center to prevent safety accidents for workers and citizens is very meaningful and timely. Changwon City will also spare no effort to support all companies in implementing systematic safety management, including consulting for serious accident prevention and operating labor safety guardians."
