BPA Recruiting Companies for Win-Win Smart Factory Support Project
Promoting Field-Specific Support Projects for SMEs to Drive Manufacturing Innovation
Busan Port Authority (BPA) is accepting applications from companies wishing to participate in the "2024 Busan Port Win-Win Smart Factory Support Project" until July 1.
The "Smart Factory Support Project" is designed to help companies introduce customized smart factories to improve productivity and competitiveness in manufacturing processes and business workflows. The project aims to drive manufacturing innovation by integrating ICT technologies into production processes, logistics, and materials management.
Eligible applicants for 2024 are small and medium-sized enterprises located in Busan and Gyeongnam. Companies with a track record of using Busan Port (such as port facility usage or residency in the New Port hinterland complex) or those engaged in port-related industries will receive an additional 5 points in the evaluation.
Selected companies will receive expert consulting to support the advancement of manufacturing and business processes, including the implementation of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), SCM (Supply Chain Management), and automation tailored to each company's site.
Additionally, to strengthen the protection of small and medium-sized enterprises' technologies, the full cost of technology data escrow will be supported.
Of the smart factory construction project cost (up to 100 million KRW per company), 60% will be covered by the government and BPA, while the remaining 40% must be paid by the participating company.
For more details, please refer to the BPA website or the Sangsaengnuri site. Small and medium-sized enterprises wishing to participate should apply through Sangsaengnuri.
BPA President Kang Junseok stated, "I hope this project will serve as a lever to enhance the competitiveness of port-related industries and local manufacturing companies."
