New Mercedes-Benz C200 Avantgarde and AMG Line Released
Basic Safety and Convenience Features Included
Mercedes-Benz Korea is introducing a new entry model of the mid-size sedan C-Class. It comes standard with ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, and various digital displays.
Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on the 17th that it will launch the 'C200 Avantgarde' and 'C200 AMG Line'. The company explained that the models have enhanced marketability by incorporating various advanced safety and convenience features.
Both vehicles come standard with ▲front ventilated seats ▲heated steering wheel ▲panoramic sunroof. They also include ▲toll settlement system that displays toll payment amounts and balances on the central display ▲digital key pre-installation that allows remote vehicle sharing.
Both are equipped with a 4-cylinder gasoline engine. Maximum output is 204 horsepower, and maximum torque is 32.6 kgf·m. A 9-speed transmission and 48V mild hybrid system are installed. Notably, all lineups have obtained Low Emission Vehicle (LEV) Grade 2 certification. Benefits such as congestion toll and public parking fee reductions are also available.
Driving assistance systems are also included. The 'Driving Assistance Package Plus' is standard, which includes maintaining distance from the vehicle ahead, automatic speed control, braking and starting, lane departure prevention, and lane change assist. It also includes 'PRE-SAFE®', which detects hazardous situations before an accident to minimize occupant damage, and 'PRE-SAFE® Impulse Side', which protects front seat occupants in the event of a side collision.
The interior features various digital elements. An 11.9-inch vertical high-resolution LCD display is installed in the center of the vehicle. The 2nd generation MBUX infotainment system allows operation of various functions via voice and touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphones are also supported. Users can log in with a fingerprint scanner below the central display to load personal settings.
