Fire at Synthetic Resin Processing Plant in Gimhae Causes Property Damage of Over 73 Million Won

At around 6:28 a.m. on the 14th, a fire broke out at a synthetic resin processing company in Jinrye-myeon, Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Department, the fire burned approximately 280 square meters of the factory where the fire started, as well as part of the wall of an adjacent factory.
Two extruders, 10 tons of finished products, office equipment, and other items in the factory were also destroyed, resulting in property damage estimated at about 73.7 million won by the fire department.
All employees in the factory evacuated safely, and there were no casualties.
Upon receiving the report, the fire authorities mobilized 50 firefighters and 21 pieces of equipment, and extinguished the fire by around 8:43 a.m.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
