The county plans to enhance the quality of the tournament by offering sports massage rehabilitation programs and piloting VAR (video assistant referee) operations, providing top-notch infrastructure and delivering the excitement of women's football, known for its finesse and toughness, through high-level match management.
Additionally, this tournament will promote the "Plastic Zero Campaign in Football Stadiums," encouraging the use of tumblers or insulated bottles instead of plastic bottles inside the stadium, and will join the players in realizing carbon neutrality.
Kim Yooncheol, the governor of Hapcheon, said, "I hope that hosting the Queen's Cup, which boasts a long history and prestige, will help maintain our reputation as a premier sports city," and added, "I look forward to seeing many refreshing goals that will blow away the early summer heat."
Meanwhile, since 2008, the county has been hosting the National Women's Football Championship and the Queen's Cup National Women's Football Tournament, contributing to the growth and development of women's football, while also achieving tangible results in expanding Hapcheon's football infrastructure and revitalizing the local economy.
