Osan City Youth Job Support Center 'Irujap' Selected as Gyeonggi-do Excellent Youth Space
Selected for the Second Consecutive Year Following Last Year
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 10th that 'Irujap,' a youth job support center operated by the city, has been selected as an 'Excellent Youth Space' by Gyeonggi Province for the second consecutive year following last year.
Opened in February 2022, Irujap is a youth-tailored space that operates programs to strengthen young people's employment capabilities and support their practical independence, as well as a youth-exclusive complex space offering various services.

This selection as an excellent space was made through a process involving on-site user surveys, field evaluations, and presentations of outstanding programs, conducted by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Welfare Foundation through a public contest. As a result of being selected as an excellent youth space, the city will receive 40 million KRW in project funding from Gyeonggi Province.
The city explained that a notable feature of this evaluation was the participation of the demand-side youth. According to the city, Irujap was highly evaluated for operating the facility in a way that ensures no youth group is marginalized, including the passion of the operating organization, activation of space usage, and provision of customized programs by youth age groups. Another reason for the selection was the careful identification and reflection of the needs of the youth using the space, with the goal of fostering independence and self-esteem growth among local youth.
