"Take a Full Day Off" ... Gimhae City Grants Special Memorial Day Leave to Sanitation Workers
Gimhae City in Gyeongnam announced on the 4th that it will grant a special holiday to sanitation workers and resource circulation facility employees on the upcoming Memorial Day, June 6.
This decision was made to express gratitude for their hard work during the New Year's Day and Lunar New Year substitute holidays, as well as for weekend duties related to various major events such as the Year of Visiting Gimhae, East Asian Cultural City, the National Sports Festival, and the National Para Games.

View original imageAccordingly, household waste collection will be suspended from the afternoon of the 5th, and the disposal of standard waste bags, food waste, and recyclables will only be allowed after 8 p.m. on the 6th.
Chae Kyungsoo, head of the Cleaning Administration Team, said, "Sanitation workers may not always be visible, but they wake up early every morning to perform essential tasks for citizens. We ask for your understanding regarding any inconvenience caused by the temporary suspension of household waste collection."
