Number of Beneficiary Companies Greatly Increased to 64, Extra Points for Port-Related Firms
Busan Port Authority (BPA), in collaboration with the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Yang Jaesaeng), is recruiting companies to participate in the '2024 Busan Port Overseas Market Expansion Support Project' for approximately two weeks from May 31 to June 14.
Since 2020, BPA has been working with the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry to provide support for small and medium-sized export companies using Busan Port, assisting them throughout all stages prior to export, including overseas market preparation, buyer discovery, and contract execution.
In particular, this year, the number of companies eligible for support has been significantly increased to 64, allowing more small and medium-sized enterprises using Busan Port to benefit from the program.
The detailed support programs consist of a total of eight categories: ▲ production of promotional materials ▲ support for establishing overseas branches ▲ support for overseas certification and testing costs ▲ overseas buyer discovery ▲ issuance of export documents ▲ global online marketing ▲ interpretation and translation ▲ logistics cost support.
The 2024 support is targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises in the Busan and Gyeongnam regions with export or import records using Busan Port, and an additional 5 points will be awarded to companies related to port operations.
For more information, please visit the BPA website or the Sangsaengnuri site. Small and medium-sized enterprises wishing to participate should apply through Sangsaengnuri.
Kang Junseok, President of BPA, stated, "Through this overseas market expansion support project, we hope not only to serve as a stepping stone for domestic small and medium-sized enterprises to enter overseas markets, but also to create a win-win opportunity by increasing the usage of Busan Port."
