"Wake Up the Sleeping Books"... Incheon Yeonsu-gu Offers Souvenirs for Borrowing Unchecked Books
"Please borrow the books sleeping in the library."
Incheon Yeonsu-gu, operating seven public libraries, will hold the "Wake Up Sleeping Books!" event from the 4th to introduce various books and promote the use of their collections.
Residents who borrow a total of five books, including two books that have never been borrowed outside the library since being placed in the reading rooms, will receive souvenirs on a first-come, first-served basis until the end of this month.
Yeonsu Cheonghak, Yeonsu Kkumdam, Songdo International Children's, Haedoji, Seonhak Byeolbit, Dongchun Narae, and Hambak Biryoo libraries are exhibiting unborrowed books, and the list is also posted on the Yeonsu Public Library website for guidance.
The public libraries expect this event to help users break away from reading only popular books, provide broader reading opportunities, and contribute to spreading a culture of reading. Currently, the seven public libraries in Yeonsu-gu house a total of approximately 418,000 books.
The "Wake Up Sleeping Books" event is open to all library members. For more details, please check the Yeonsu Public Library website.
