Takeout Brokerage Fee 6.8%...Same as Delivery
"Usage of Baemin Platform is the Same"
Woowa Brothers, the operator of the delivery app Baedal Minjok, has decided to charge restaurant owners a commission fee not only for delivery orders but also for takeout orders.
According to the delivery industry on the 2nd, Woowa Brothers announced through 'Baemin Food Service Plaza' on the 31st of last month that starting from the 1st of next month, restaurant owners newly registering for Baemin takeout orders will be charged a commission fee.
The takeout commission fee is 6.8%, the same as the delivery commission fee. If a customer orders food worth 30,000 KRW for takeout, the restaurant owner must pay Baemin a commission fee of 2,040 KRW. The imposition of the commission fee is based on the premise that using the Baemin platform for takeout orders is the same as for delivery orders.
However, restaurant owners who have been using the takeout service previously and stores whose registration approval is completed by the 30th of this month will not be charged the takeout commission fee until March next year.
