Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that it has renovated the public health center's health promotion room into a strength training space and has been operating it in earnest since March.
A district official stated, "The health promotion room, which had ceased operations due to COVID-19, has been transformed into a strength training space. Currently, not only strength training programs but also pre- and post-body composition analysis and physical fitness assessments are being conducted."
Strength training sessions are held once or twice a week at the Dobong-gu health promotion room and run for a total of 12 weeks. The target participants include those at health risk due to metabolic syndrome and patients with chronic diseases.
Classes are conducted under expert guidance and consist of 15 minutes of warm-up exercises, 30 minutes of strength training, and 15 minutes of cool-down exercises, totaling 60 minutes.
