The participating companies included Ewha SRC, Ilseong Machinery Co., Ltd., Daeil Tech, Nitex Jechim, and Haein Machinery, all domestic textile industry firms.
The B2B meetings between the participating companies and local businesses were coordinated and supported by the KOTRA Guatemala Trade Center, and Samsung Electronics provided Galaxy S24 Ultra devices with real-time interpretation capabilities for the participating companies.
Since 2019, Gyeongbuk TP has been building a local network in the Guatemalan textile sector by carrying out the “Guatemala Textile Field Technical Guidance (TASK) Project” and the “Guatemala Textile TASK Center Support Project” under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
Through the previously established network, meetings between textile machinery companies from North Gyeongsang Province and local Guatemalan companies and institutions were arranged.
Hainseong, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, said, “Through our participation in this exhibition in Guatemala, we hope that the excellent companies of North Gyeongsang Province will not only expand overseas but also create positive ripple effects by further expanding into the North and Central American markets.”
