Suncheon-si Proves Efficacy of Beauty Products Containing Godeulppaegi Through Human Application Tests
Godeul Shampoo and Mist Proven Effective and Safe
Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced on the 23rd that the efficacy and safety of a mist and shampoo product containing Suncheon’s representative agricultural specialty, Godeulppaegi, were proven following a human application test.
The "Suncheon Godeulppaegi Agricultural Cooperative Corporation," which researches native Godeulppaegi of Suncheon and realizes social value, succeeded in commercializing the products ‘Godeul Mist’ and ‘Godeul Shampoo’ after more than two years of research in collaboration with Suncheon City and Suncheon National University.
The city requested a human application test from Global Medical Research Center Co., Ltd., confirming significant clinical results for Godeul Mist’s suitability for acne-prone skin and for Godeul Shampoo’s scalp moisturizing, oil reduction, keratin improvement, scalp soothing, and itch relief effects.
A city official stated, “We are pleased to confirm positive results that products developed from our region’s representative agricultural specialty, Godeulppaegi, are beneficial to the human body through this clinical trial,” adding, “We will actively strive to diversify products using local agricultural products and revitalize distribution.”
Yoo Sung-jin, CEO of Suncheon Godeulppaegi Agricultural Cooperative Corporation, said, “We will work hard to make Godeul Mist, which has anti-inflammatory and soothing effects, a cosmetic product that conquers not only the nation but the world,” and added, “We will create products loved by consumers suffering from skin troubles.”
